Minnehaha Falls
This was not technically our first weekend here, but it was the the first that was not consumed with IKEA trips and unpacking. The weather here has been gorgeous for the last week, so we made the most of it with trips to the lake and around the city. We went to a concert at First Avenue on Friday night, the venue made famous by Prince (local boy!) and ate sushi in the downtown Warehouse district.
Getting into the Minneapolis active lifestyle, we walked, hiked and kayaked this weekend! We walked around Lake Calhoun and went to see the Minnehaha Falls. Kayaking on the lakes was much more successful than our attempt in the Chesapeake, so if the weather holds we might give it another go.
