Midwest Winter

We got back from our Christmas trip to a ton of snow, and its here to stay! Its that time of year again, the dreaded January cold. I feel better about it knowing what to expect after last year out here, so this weekend we hit the January sales at REI in search of some new mittens, as I lost my old ones before Christmas and now is a very bad time to be mitten-less. Armed with my high-tech new purchases and some handwarmers, we went out to check on the frozen lakes.
