Been a bit slack uploading new pictures, so heres a few of our Thanksgiving meal. It was a quiet one this year, but all the Thanksgiving traditions were followed, including roasting turkey and watching some pretty bad football. This year I tried to keep it simpler so I could hang out and not spend the entire morning forming gnoccis (see post from last year!) So, I made the Barefoot Contessa's Turkey with Truffle Butter, corn muffins, roasted brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes.
The day after was nice and sunny, so we set off on a St Croix river day trip with some friends, which began with a walk in Big River State Park, took in some wine tasting at a Wisconsin winery (where thankfully they get their grapes from California!) and ended at Smalley's Pirate Bar in Stillwater.
