Super snow

We survived a pretty notable snow storm a few weeks ago, which dumped 16 inches of snow on the Twin Cities, and most famously collapsed the Metrodome roof. It was a real snow storm, with really high winds that blew the snow everywhere, and created the crazy picture below, where snow has obscured our front steps and almost the distinction between the lawn and the sidewalk.

While this might not be such a problem in other towns, here any snow that falls after December will be with us until April at least, so we have a small problem with what to do with all of it. Some even gets taken away in dumptrucks and melted! Although its better now, in the first days after the storm, getting around was a challenge, as you had to climb up snow banks created by shoveling and plowing to get into your car or on the bus.

We have to clear the drive way to our garage to get the car out, but we can't put it into the shared alley, so all snow has to come back into our garden, onto the rapidly growing snow pile!
