Inspired by crafty friends and the internet, I decided to try some new projects to make some things for the house. With the warmer weather finally here, the porch on the front of the house is a perfect place to sit, but lacked any furniture to sit on. First project was some cushions for the built in benches. Given my lack of sewing skills and sewing machine, this was a no-sew, all staple endeavor using foam, material and plywood boards. Lessons learned - that all these things cost way more than you think , but the final product turned out quite nice I think!
Second project was to spruce up some chairs I got from craigslist with spray paint to add more seating to the porch. They were originally gray, but I thought green would go better with the porch so a few coats of primer and paint later they were ready to go. HGTV here I come!
