A few weekends ago we were feeling back in the house projects mood, and decided to tackle the borders in front of the house. The ratty evergreen shrub on the left of the steps had to go! As in all things, by the time we had decided on doing this and gone to the plant store to get the replacement shrubs, it was four o'clock and full sun in the front when my assistant dug out the old plant while I offered helpful suggestions.

We replanted some new shrubs and perennials (thanks to mum for the suggestions and plan) and watered and mulched them in.
